Presentation Letter

Brazil is a peaceful country, a profile which leads to debates on how to prioritize investments in the Defence area. The Country is undergoing a unique moment, and attention has been drawn to this issue. Many issues have led to advances in this field: among which we have the increased visibility of the country, due to its wealth, the prosperous economy and the great events that will be hosted; all leading to a strong acceleration of investments planned.

Faced with this scenario, the National Defence Strategy has fostered important discussions regarding Defence issues, as well as regarding the Guidelines for the Brazilian Armed forces in the coming decades. In the midst of these is technology, its challenges and evolution, strongly permeating all reflections, which has taken us to come up with the III LAAD Defence Seminar with precisely this focus.
